Why These Walks Work for Everyone

Walking along the coast isn't just beautiful — it's genuinely good for you. The paths we've chosen are flat, well-maintained, and don't demand superhuman fitness levels. We've done the research so you don't have to.

Fresh sea air, natural light, and the rhythm of waves underfoot create something special. You're not racing against the clock or competing with anyone. It's you, the cliffs, and a few hours of genuine peace.

  • Manageable distances — 2 to 5 kilometers per walk
  • Minimal elevation gain on most routes
  • Proper rest stops and shelter along the way
  • Clear signage and established paths

Tested Routes

Every walk's been scouted. We know where the steep bits are, which benches face the best views, and where you can grab a cup of tea.

Walking Groups

You don't have to walk alone. Local groups meet regularly, and there's always someone happy to share the experience with you.

Weather Ready

Irish coastal weather changes fast. We'll tell you what to pack and when the best time to walk actually is.

Health Benefits

Walking improves circulation, builds strength, and clears your head. The sea air makes it even better.

Common Questions

Yes. We've chosen routes with minimal steep sections and plenty of places to rest. If you use a walking aid, all our recommended paths accommodate them. Always start with the easier options and build up gradually.

Spring and early autumn offer the most stable weather. Summer's busy with tourists. Winter walks are quieter but bring wind and rain. Check weather forecasts before you go — coastal conditions change quickly.

Both work. Solo walks let you go at your pace. Groups add safety and social connection. We recommend telling someone where you're going and when you'll be back, regardless of which you choose.

Start with shorter walks. Build endurance gradually. Regular walking around your neighborhood helps. Strong legs and a comfortable heart matter more than anything else. If you've had health concerns, check with your doctor first.
